The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the North American Society for Trenchless technology (RMNASTT) is excited to invite you to a project site tour on September 21, 2023, of the Town of Fraser’s Sanitary Sewer Upgrades project.
This educational opportunity will offer a presentation that discusses why the Geonex Horizontal Hammer Boring (HHB) method chosen for this project is the most suitable for this Town of Fraser project.
The Geonex HHB system combines down-the-hole (DTH) hammer boring and augers to excavate tunnels and move spoils for steel casing installations. Compressed air with lubricating hydraulic fluid powers the process and is regulated by a control unit. A horizontal drill rig and hollow stem augers drive a piston in the DTH hammer, creating high frequency (2 to 10 times per second) impacts that break down material at the tunnel face and propel the assembly into the ground, pulling the casing line behind it.
September 21, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM - Field Project Site Visit
